Spill resistance tested to ensure real-world durability 

Accidents happen – spilled drinks, thirsty pets and wet shoes are a part of everyday living. That’s why we independently test our coatings for extended water exposure, simulating real-world conditions such as a spill left overnight. 

• We assess how long moisture remains on the surface without penetrating or damaging the coating. 

• Products must demonstrate high resistance to staining and swelling before passing our QA process.

CodeMark Certified System

Compliance assurance for the entire flooring system 

Forté is the only timber flooring company in New Zealand with CodeMark certification for its complete flooring system. This includes the product itself, plus adhesives and installation method, ensuring the system performs as one. 

• Meets NZ Building Code requirements for moisture (E3), fire, and emissions. 

• Must be accepted by Building Consent Authorities – removing risk and saving time on site.
