Millboard Decking
Millboard is a high-performance timber alternative decking material, crafted with a composition of mineral limestone, that is not only durable and weather-resistant but low maintenance too.
Each decking board is moulded from carefully selected oak samples that showcase the beauty of natural wood grain, then hand-tinted by craftsmen for a perfect real-wood look. Due to its wood-free composition, Millboard resists algal growth, won’t rot or warp, and is perfectly suited to withstand New Zealand’s demanding outdoor environments.
Millboard decking features a durable Lastane® surface layer that is both non-porous, preventing spills from leaving stain on the boards, and slip-resistant even in wet or icy conditions. Additionally, its UV-stable finish ensures the boards retain their colour and resist fading under prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight.
Why Choose Millboard Decking?
Hand Moulded and Coloured
Each Millboard decking board is hand-moulded from real timber samples and coloured to perfectly replicate the natural look and texture of wood.
Moisture Resistant
The non-porous, resin-mineral core ensures Millboard decking doesn’t absorb moisture, preventing rot and requiring no sealing.
Impact and Weather Resistant
Built to withstand the elements, Millboard decking features a durable surface that resists impact, weathering and fading.
Easy to Install
Millboard decking is designed for straightforward installation with hidden fixings and can be easily cut using standard tools—no specialist equipment required.
UV Stability
Millboard is UV stable, with less than 5% fading over 25 years, ensuring long-lasting colour retention in all weather conditions.
Wood-Free
Made without wood, Millboard decking won’t rot, warp or attract insects, providing superior durability compared to traditional timber cladding.
Increased Thermal Performance
The unique composition of Millboard decking enhances thermal performance, helping to regulate temperature in both warm and cold climates.
Fire Rated System
Millboard decking meets high fire safety standards, providing added protection in fire-prone areas.
