DUO Edgebanding

What is DUO Edgebanding?

Alor Duo Edgebanding is an innovative solution for more demanding applications. It is a 1mm veneer, made up of a base layer of 0.5mm ABS, colour-matched to a 0.5mm surface of prefinished timber.

How does the ABS backing work?

ABS is a high-grade thermosplastic, added to the back of the edgebanding, to seal the core and improve performance of the finished panel rolls of edgebanding.

What are the benefits of ABS?

ABS provides durability and moisture-resistance to the veneer panel, eliminating MDF core swelling and veneer delamination, ensuring the edgebanding won’t crack or splinter, and creating a refined finish where edgebanding and veneer panel join.
